Michelle and I were in Berkeley on October 13th for the Cal / Oregon St. game and they lost...and lost...and lost. 3 weeks in a row! I've never seen a team fall that fast in the AP25 except Notre Dame <-- CAN YOU SAY OVERRATED!

NBA Stock Exchange

Michelle and I decided to play fantasy basketball this year so we went with the NBA Stock Exchange. It's pretty fun except for the fact that Michelle is beating me. Seeing how much she's into this game, I'm kinda scared...please don't beat me too bad!

NBA on TNT (not TNA)

The NBA opened tonight on TNT with a San Antonio Spurs victory over a "Greg-Oden-Less" Portland Trailblazers. In addition to opening night on TNT, tonight begins the countless number of 'The Closer' & 'Saving Grace' commercials. It just doesn't make any sense. I figure the NBA attracts males in the 18-49 age group. Being a member of that demographic, I can say that I have no interest in those two shows. Come on, TNT...show some TNA!

it's so good to be home. i didn't realize how much i missed home until i got back. anyways, yesterday we were at the airport in maui and michelle was hungry. guess what? she ate a hotdog. all i can say is...omg!

biking down a volcano

this morning we were picked up at the hotel at 7am. we then drove to the top of the haleakala volcano which is over 10,000 feet. from there, we biked down 38.2 miles through twists and turns. it was pretty fun except for the old folks in our group that were going so slow! our ride took about 4 hours which pretty much wiped us out. now we're back at the hotel just relaxing.

we pretty excited about going home tomorrow. it's always nice to be home after a trip like this. aloha!

finally...some sunshine

the sun finally decided to peek out of the clouds this afternoon so i'm laying out by the pool right now.

parasailing was awesome. we decided to do the 800 foot instead of the 400. well worth the extra $5. it was so quiet when we were up in the air and it wasn't scary at all. while we were on the boat, i was able to get some nice pictures and some video in high def. can't wait to check it out on my tv when i get home.

one thing i noticed is that there aren't any freeways. there are only a few main roads that take you around the island. these roads are usually only one lane and at times two lanes for a few miles. i can't imagine people being on time for anything. i guess it's the laid back mentality of the hawaiians.

i'm going to go for a swim now but i'll have pictures posted later tonight.

birds everywhere

these little birds are everywhere in maui. where ever we go, it seems like they're following us. they even fly into resturants through open windows or doors. michelle is not liking these birds!

we're going to make a second attempt to parasail today at 11am. it got postponed on wednesday because of the heavy wind conditions. i hope we're able to go out today.

it looks like another windy and cloudy day today. hopefully it will clear up in the afternoon so we can lay out by the pool.

tomorrow we go on a bike ride down the haleakala volcano. the ride is 40 miles downhill from a 10,000 foot summit. more pics on my flickr account to follow.

when it rains, it pours

when we arrived in maui on tuesday afternoon, it was so humid and the temperature was in the 80's. we rented a mustang convertable and off we go to the hotel. the hotel is really nice with great views. the rest of tuesday was spent just driving around and getting familier with the area.

on wednesday, the weather was pretty good and we spent the morning sun bathing and swimming at the pool. we visited the beach and hung out there a while until it was time to go parasailing. we drove to the harbor and waited for the boat to come back to shore. 15 min. before we were supposed to go out, we got word that the weather condition were getting pretty bad and our parasailing adventure was cancelled. that sucked! so instead, we went to i'oa valley to check out some waterfalls and it started raining. we have parasailing rescheduled for friday so i'm hoping the weather will calm down.

it's now thursday morning and we have an appointment to see a time share here. since it's raining here again, i guess it's better than doing nothing. not to mention we saved $160 on our activities for going to the presentation. it's about time to go so i'll be updating later today or tomorrow.

so we're packing for our hawaii trip right now. the cab is picking us up tomorrow morning at 6:45. i'm glad i don't have to do most of the packing. michelle's a super packer as you'll see in my flickr account. well i'm off to finish and then it's beddy bye time. can't believe I just said that...i must be tired.

so 60 million people in china are obese. wow! i was pretty shocked. i always thought that asians on the most part were thin. sucks to be this young fella, huh? you can read more about this here.

it's been about a week since i've updated. had a pretty uneventful week. i saw steve nash, raja bell, and leandro barbosa. i was with sven when we saw them on saturday. funny thing is that when they walked by, sven said, 'they're kind of small, no?'. hilarious.

we started watching the amazing race 10 today. it was so interesting that michelle and i decided when the next season starts, we're going to apply. in michelle's words, she has the sense of direction and i can drive stick shift.

last night, we went ice skating...actually, i watched...with mark, rachel, rick, ryan, russell, and sven at anaheim ice. the kids were so cute on ice skates. too bad mark and michelle didn't get a chance to race. maybe next time. you can see the rest of the pictures on my flickr site.

i've been voted to be the new president of our home owners association. it's a pretty time consuming job listening to people's complaints, organizing meetings, re-writing rules and regulations. i'm planning a meeting for sunday and it's been tough getting people to respond. anyways, enough of the boring stuff...and on to more boring stuff.

yesterday, i had lunch with michelle, jennifer, sven, jeremy, mark, and joe at the olive garden. i'm not sure i understand why people think that place sucks. it's not that bad...but then again, i'll eat almost anything.

i recently discovered knight rider on the universal hd channel. it's great to see k.i.t.t. and the rest of the crew on high definition. i recently heard a really weird rumor that k.i.t.t. was gay. huh??? how can a car be gay? was it michael knight saying stuff like, "hey budddyyyyy"? hey...that sounds familiar...anyways, here's some insight on the issue.

sven, jennifer, michelle, and i went bowling today after some yummy dim sum. actually, me and my bum foot just watched. i have more pics in my flickr account. comment if you want access.

there were these 2 middle aged asian women next to us who brought their own bowling balls and gloves. i was thinking, "damn...they must be good!". next thing i know, an employee of the bowling alley came over and activated the bumpers on their lane. wtf?!?!? then they started bowling...hahahahahaha!!!! they sucked so bad i was almost embarrassed for them. talk about striking out...

today is my wedding anniversary. it's been 4 years...it went by so fast. i have found that being married is great and that for some people, it sucks. i guess i'm just a really lucky guy.

last night we went to union cattle with jennifer, joe, sven, and mark for some drinks and food. had a great time but my foot was killing me by the end of the night. to top that off, i got a parking ticket...oh well.

i'm missing another day of work but luckily, i can work from home. gotta go to the doctor now to feel more pain....ahhhhhhh!

nokia 8801

i got michelle a nokia 8801 for t-mobile. she used to have the blackberry 8700 but has no need for mobile emails anymore. it's a pretty small phone with a nice and sturdy feel to it. the only problem i have with it is that the keys are too small for my fingers but just right for michelle. the phone comes with a desktop charger, 2 batteries, pouch, and headset which is also used as the antenna for the fm radio. no complaints about the phone yet but i'll keep you posted.

feel like a princess

so today was my first day back at work since last wednesday. it was good to be out of the house and to see people. michelle brought lunch from al noor for mark, jeremy, sven, jennifer, and I. the people at al noor forgot to give us our whole order so mark went back to pick it up. thanks mark! i feel kind of bad having people do things for me...especially michelle. i guess i'm just really thankful to have people that care about me...{sigh}...kinda like a princess.

i'm supposed to be in hawaii with michelle right now to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary. since i can't even walk, hawaii will have to wait until december. may be for the best though with the earthquake & rains in hawaii this week.

since i messed up my ankle, i haven't been at work. usually, i just sit in front of the tv and keep my foot elevated. thank goodness michelle (my wonderful wife) isn't working anymore so she's been a great help. i'm bored........

so last wednesday i was playing basketball with the guys at work. i drove in to the basket and twisted my ankle on someone's foot, slipped off that person's foot, and landed on my ankle with my full weight (which has been a lot these days) on it. i heard a 'pop' and knew something was wrong. i went to the er and they told me that i had a hairline fracture on my fibula (the bone on the side of the leg above the ankle). on top of that, all the ligaments on both sides of my ankle. man, i'm in pain!
